About Art for Film Art for Film caters to the needs of creative professionals in the film, television, and photography industries in New York City and nationally. We provide our clients with a large selection of cleared, quality artwork for rental or purchase, and offer exceptional art research and clearance services.
Art for Film specializes in finding the perfect art for our clients. We understand the demands of Production Designers, Set Decorators and Art Directors, and work with our clients to acquire hassle-free, clearable artwork for use as set dressing in films, TV, commercials, and photo shoots. AFF chooses its art with a discerning eye, and tailors its selection to meet the needs of the client. First and foremost, AFF looks for quality, high-caliber artwork from working New York artists in a wide range of genres and styles. Many of the artists we work with have won prestigious Guggenheim grants, Pollock-Krasner Foundation grants, and artist residencies. While we seek to offer a large quantity of artwork to choose from, we don’t feel that the quality of the work should suffer. If we do not have what you are looking for in our catalog, we will search diligently to find the art that you need. AFF also works to research and clear artwork provided or sought by the client.
In addition to providing rental and research services, AFF arranges private studio viewings and is happy to work with clients looking to select appropriate art for their private collections.
Art for Film has provided rented artwork to feature films including I Am Legend (Paramount), Enchanted (Disney), Duplicity (Universal), Sex and the City II (Warner Bros.), Solitary Man (Millennium), and The Switch (Miramax); independent films such as Everyday, The Ministers, and Synedoche, New York; television series and pilots including Ugly Betty (ABC), Lipstick Jungle (NBC), Damages (FX), and Royal Pains (NBC); and numerous commercials and music videos. Art for Film has also provided artwork for special events and photo shoots. |
